“That is John Smith! A strange looking fellow…Oh! I must find Nakoma and tell her! I wonder where she ran off too…”

“John Smith?” Pocahontas repeated, the words sounding strange to her tongue. His name was strange, mostly due to the fact he wasn’t from her land. Still, Pocahontas didn’t know how to feel about such a strange…person. Taking a breath, Pocahontas studied his face now that she was closer. His skin was much paler then hers, and instead of dark eyes she saw that they matched the color of the sky above. Not only that, but his hair matched the sun’s rays that shone down onto the ground. Although it was…strange for her, Pocahontas was attracted to the man before in some small way. Perhaps it was her curiosity that urged her to stay and try to communicate with him.
“Where are you from?” She questioned. Pocahontas was curious to know if he’d answer, it he too felt the curiosity that she felt. Was he used to meeting people like her? Where did they come from? So many questions for this strange man! Although Flit was clearly not welcoming, Meeko certainly was. Before Pocahontas had time to react, Meeko had happily climbed up and around John’s shoulders. “Meeko!”

Tarzan and John
ooc: I had a follower who shipped these two. But I don’t remember who…
Shang nodded at the name. He had been told her name previously, but he had been referring to her by her title for respect. “Alright, Pocahontas” he said, testing the name. It was a foreign name to him but he managed to pronounce it correctly. He’d just have to get used to calling her that.
“He’s trained as a war horse” he explained when she mentioned the horse’s strength. “He’s very reliable in battle” he added, wearing a proud smile. He was proud of his steed. He had come to rely on his horse. He glanced at Pocahontas. “Is there anywhere specific you would like to begin our journey?” he asked her.
Pocahontas listened as Shang explained his horse, it made since that here they would be trained for war. Pocahontas was not fond of the idea of animals being used in war, but it was not her place to speak on such matters. It was not her world, and it seemed they were very different.
“No where comes to mind…Wherever the wind takes us I suppose” Pocahontas replied, using the phrase that she was so accustomed too. “Any suggestions?” She questioned back, surely he would know where they should start. The man did live here after all!

Pocahontas looked up as John questioned who she was. The question momentarily confused her, unsure how to respond to such a thing. What sort of answer should she give? Surely one that would be much clearer than the question! Taking a small gulp of air, Pocahontas readied herself to answer. Would the man answer the question back if she answered? Pocahontas wanted to know who he was as well and why he was on her land. In her time on Earth she had never seen strangers on the lands of her people, it was almost unheard of. Traveling the great seas was a rather dangerous journey in the eyes of her people, and very few ever attempted or thought of it. Had his people come from another tribe across the water? Would more come?
“My name is Pocahontas” It was strange not to speak her own language, perhaps because the words sounded so strange on her tongue. Would they sound strange to this man too? Waiting for a response, Pocahontas felt her nerves picking up. Would this man respond? Would he answer her questions? “Who are you?” She questioned back, taking a step closer. Pocahontas wondered if they should move away from the waterfall, it seemed strange and at the moment it looked like neither one of them would move.
